My Updates on my recovery

I have not posted lately and I want to update u on my recovery. It has  been 5 years since my brain aneurysm on May 21st.  One of my goals has been to get back to driving and so I took a driving test on  Thursday, August 29th for insurance purposes for our congregation, Dominican Sisters of Peace.  I have had driving lessons in October, 2012 and in July of 2013 through the Universal Driving Training Center.  My instructor being Kenneth Lee Wilson.  Great  guy!!! Thanks Kenneth.He indicated that I had to practice, practice, practice. " You can do it Sister. Have your sisters take you out in the parking lots. Do the exercises I showed you for your feet."  But I never did ask any of my sisters to help me do it.  I figured that this would be my real test in doing the driving. So when I took the test and I did not do well.  I am OK with it.  I can walk and I can take the bus. I have friends that can take me to the places that I need to go.  I can take it again in the future after all I am still young(64) now.  Do I want to do that, NOT!! Keep me in your prayers.  It was all the prayers that got me to this present day.Peace and love to all from Alicia

    Alicia,
    I feel sad because I know how much being able to drive means to you. Take comfort in knowing that your many friends are willing to take you wherever you want or need to go. Also ask yourself if there is a lesson to be learned in this challenge. Finally, know that God is with you throughout your journey. In God's time, all will be made clearer.
